If you would like to keep your existing WiFi network as is, and simply want to add a PrivateRouter VPN Wifi network you can do so using a dual router setup. No settings in your existing network router need to change to add a PrivateRouter in a dual router setup. Since we preset all PrivateRouters to a unique Local IP Address, there won’t be any conflict with your existing router.
In a dual router setup the PrivateRouter is wired to your existing router via ethernet cable and you will have two completely segmented WiFi networks available.
After plugging in all devices power off your ISP modem and PrivateRouter then do the following:
• Power on your ISP modem and wait for it to fully boot up.
• Power on your PrivateRouter
• Connect to PrivateRouter Wifi, enter the default password “torguard” and browse to 192.168.8.1
